Skin Booster Treatment
A polynucleotide skin booster is injected into the skin in small amounts across the treatment area. It is designed to support skin quality, hydration and texture. It is available for the face, the under-eye area, or the face and neck.

What it involves
Your skin is cleansed and a topical numbing cream may be applied. The product is then placed into the skin with a series of very small injections across the treatment area. The appointment allows time for preparation, treatment and a check before you leave

Who it may suit
Adults who would like to discuss the quality, hydration or texture of their skin. Suitability is assessed individually, and alternatives are discussed with you, including choosing not to have treatment.
Not suitable for everyone
Skin booster treatment may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active skin infection or inflammation in the area, with a known allergy to any of the product’s components, with some medical conditions, or with some medications, including blood thinners. Your full health history is reviewed in consultation.
Number of sessions
Three sessions, four weeks apart, are usually recommended. Your practitioner will confirm what may suit you.
Recovery & downtime
Small raised bumps at the injection points are expected and usually settle within one to two days. Redness, swelling or bruising may last several days. Please allow for this if you have an important event coming up.
Possible risks & side effects
Common: small bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising at the injection sites. Less common: lumps that take longer to settle, infection, or an allergic reaction. Rare: more serious complications. These will be explained to you in full during consultation. All risks are discussed with you before treatment, and you will have time to consider your decision.
